Still watching out for us

We first met Father Harvey at the 2006 Courage Conference in St. Louis which we attended as very new members of EnCourage. We had spoken to Father on the phone when we first called the Courage office in New York and he picked up our call. 

He was an answer to prayer for help in our situation with our son. He advised us and guided us in our turmoil, shock, and sadness. We grew to love him over the next five years as we attended every Courage Conference and started our own EnCourage group after we returned from our first conference. We brought along our Courage Chaplain, who also grew to greatly admire Father Harvey.   

Holiness and love emanated from Father Harvey. We read his remarkable books, and admired his keen intelligence and surprising energy and stamina for a man of his age. He set a wonderful example for all leaders and members of Courage and EnCourage.   

This year we had a difficult situation arise in EnCourage and we prayed to Father Harvey to intercede and within a few days our prayers were answered. He is still watching out for us. Thank you Lord for the gift of having known Father Harvey and for the gift of Courage. Membership in EnCourage changed our lives and this change could not have happened without Father Harvey and his selfless commitment to the Courage apostalate.
